On Honorary Mancunian Service: four of Stagecoach Manchester’s Diamond Jubilee vehicles.

Stagecoach Manchester has marked this year’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations in style with a special livery. Four of their Enviro 400 double deckers have been transformed through the application of a vinyl wrap, bearing a Union Flag and a celebratory message for Her Royal Highness, Queen Elizabeth II.

The new livery will be seen on a select number of Stagecoach vehicles throughout the United Kingdom. Designed by Kristina Gwynne from Stagecoach East Kent and East Sussex, it is based on the official Buckingham Palace images. One Jubilee bus has been allocated to each of Stagecoach Manchester’s depots in Stockport, Sharston, Hyde Road and Ashton-under-Lyne. They will be seen on a variety of routes till December of this year.

Managing director of Stagecoach Manchester, Christopher Bowles, commented: “The whole country is gearing up for a big celebration next week and we felt that it was important to join with many of our customers in marking the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

“We hope that our customers and residents across the city will enjoy travelling on and seeing the buses on the streets over the next few months.”
