As Great Britain and Northern Ireland prepares to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee this weekend, Stagecoach Manchester, has unveiled two platinum jubilee themed buses to mark this unprecedented anniversary.
Months after the purchase of Revolution 96.2 FM from Credible Media, Like Media Group’s Imagine Radio was swallowed up by Bauer’s Greatest Hits Radio juggernaut. The sale of its flagship station, alongside sister stations, Ashbourne Radio and High Peak Radio was confirmed on the Radio Today website.
Waterton Lane link severed to improve reliability of 353 and 354 service;
Summertime bus times in operation on First Greater Manchester and Stagecoach Manchester routes;
Slight tweaks to some tendered services.
Retimed? the 340, alongside other Stagecoach journeys operated from Middleton depot, is down as retimed on the Stagecoach Manchester website. In fact, there are no differences to the timetable seen in TfGM’s Bus Guide on the 340 and 343 routes.

Your new face on the 1951 to Glossop: MCT Travel will be operating evening journeys on the 237 service.
In The Waste Land, T.S. Eliot said that April was the cruellest month. With bus service changes this remains the same throughout Greater Manchester. Amid the 33 services that have been affected by the post-Easter changes, Bolton, Wigan, and South Manchester passengers have been at the sharpest end. This time, Tameside based bus passengers have come off lightly with this spring’s changes being nothing on those made in April 2015. East of the M60‘s review of the year from a public transport angle
One of the biggest bus related events in Greater Manchester was the closure of First Greater Manchester’s Bury and Dukinfield depots. With Tameside’s routes served by Oldham depot, Mercedes Citaros have returned to the scene.
If 2016 was eventful, 2017 was even more eventful to the power of five. Testing our city region’s bus operators, rail franchisees, and the Metrolink was the terror attack at Manchester Arena.
