Who’d have thought by this of writing we would have seen Brazil turned over by Germany. What score was it again: 7-1? I bet Pele threw a wooden clock through his living room window. Never mind. Continue reading “From Alder Street to Wembley: The Magic of the 2014-15 F.A. Vase”

Groundhog Day for the Mighty Stalybridge Celtic.

Where did Christmas go? Three derbies and one point out of nine for the Mighty Stalybridge Celtic, a pulsating 3 – 3 draw at Tameside Stadium between Curzon Ashton and Mossley and the small matter of a transfer to Scunthorpe United.

Here come the big guns…

East of the M60 has stated the obvious for the last two months in relation to future F.A. Cup and F.A. Trophy ties involving the creator’s favoured club, the Mighty Stalybridge Celtic. That question being ‘Will Stalybridge Celtic be given a tie against same league opposition?’
