Hazel Grove Brass Band: Sunday Brass at the Boarshurst Band Club, 19 March 2023

Highly entertaining concert with a wealth of lively pieces

Britain ten years ago was a completely different beast to that of 2023. Back then you could buy a copy of the Radio Times, a packet of crisps and a Dairy Milk, and still have change from a fiver. Back then, you could still get a bus to Saddleworth and depend on the trains on Whit Friday.

Since Andrew Mallon became Musical Director of Tintwistle Band, the band has never failed to deliver a traditional yet engaging concert programme. Whilst being traditional, each concert has offered the listener something new for their ears.

Stockport Silver Band: Sunday Brass at the Boarshurst Band Club, 05 March 2023

Sparkling debut as MD for Nicki in vibrant concert

The lighter nights are coming, the weather’s getting better for walking if you discount the impending chill that’s coming along shortly. Giving us the same vibrancy and colour as crocuses in flower at this time of year is one of Stockport Silver Band’s concerts.
