Great news for regular bus users in Greater Manchester: System One’s price cut on its Buscard tickets has been extended. The original promotion was set to finish on the 25 January this year. Owing to popular demand, it has been extended till the 26 April 2014.

This gesture continues System One’s commitment to making public transport in Greater Manchester a cheaper alternative to the car. Again, value for money remains a main concern among passengers purchasing their season ticket.

As always, System One’s Buscards can be purchased from TfGM Travelshops, online via http://www.systemonetravelcards.co.uk, or from any shop in Greater Manchester with a PayPoint sign (some shops may charge a small transaction fee for credit and debit card payments).

  1. such great value, have bought a 28-day pass for first time in my life after much thinking about it! On a course at moment 1 day a week so effectively getting it for under a tenner a week after their contribution!

    1. Hi Dave,

The 28 day System One Buscard is unimpeachable. Even more so if your usual service has more than operator (case in point with the 343 – three different companies at varying times).

I first discovered the System One pass in 1996, when I used to buy their 16 – 19 pass. Back then, they still had the GMT era Teen Travel Club photocard when I applied for my pass and discovered the wonderful world of Bee Line, GM Buses North and Glossopdale.

      Bye for now,

      Stuart.

  2. excellent! I still need to get around to sampling the 484 to Prestwich from Moorside – an easy change for me off a 36. It’s really grown on me living on A6 in Walkden – so many good bus routes! By the way I am still enjoying the lovely peaceful 31 into Manc (well now it ends at Salford Shopping City/Centre which is a shame but I often use to change at the co-op on the Height anyway) – it now uses the brand new single deckers which are lovely and still just as customer-less! Heaven!!! I love going down the east Lancs at speed!
