The Not So Perfect Ten: 10 Lost Chocolate Bars and Toffees
To commemorate 2007’s National Chocolate Week, this post is dedicated to chocolate. Well, long forgotten chocolate bars actually.
This week, I was pleased to see the return of Cadbury’s seminal Wispa. Thanks to sustained campaigning on Facebook.com, the UK’s favourite aerated chocolate bar returned to the shelves last week. Hailed as the ‘forgotten chocolate bar’ by Popular-Nostalgia.com, I decided to devote this post to more obscure bars.
See you at the toffee shop… mine’s a Rowntree’s Secret bar.
- Cadbury’s Fuse (1997 - 2003);
- Rowntree’s Secret (1991 - 1994);
- Trello (1991 - 1993);
- Milky Way (original recipe - later used in ‘Flyte’ bars);
- Soccer Shields (1986 - 1988);
- Cadbury’s Go (1986 - 1990);
- Cadbury’s Skippy (years unknown);
- Nestlé Maverick (1998 - 2000);
- Swizzels Stinger chew bar (1986 - 1998);
- McVite’s 5-4-3-2-1 (1986 - 1993).
